This class is a masterclass in the art of making sauces
The 3 most popular sauce types are a Reduction, Creamy based Sauce and the iconic Roux method.
We will be creating a Red Wine and Rosemary Reduction Sauce and you can either have Steak or Cauliflower Steak to accompany this
For Sauce number 2 we have chosen the delicious Diane Sauce which will be accompanied by either Chicken or a Vegetarian alternative.
Finally, no sauce masterclass would be complete without making a Roux – the classic base to a Bechemel (white Sauce), Cheese Sauce and Veloute. It also opens the door to a very easy way to thicken any dish by using the same ingredients but turning them into a Beurre Marnie – Gretchen will explain! We thought that the popular Mac n Cheese would be a good way to show off how glossy and smooth a perfect Roux based sauce can be.
