Menu: Baking – Christmas Cookies, Chequerboard Biscuits and Chocolate Yule Log

Saturday Chefs:   These classes are suitable for children in Secondary School

Pricing:    £30 per child

Description: 

Jodie will be running a Christmas baking session.  First of all we will be making Christmas cookies and there will be a variety of Xmas-themed ingredients to add to the cookie mixture. Next will be the chequerboard biscuits, we will make the 2 different colours and Jodie will show how to put the biscuit dough together to create the special effect.  Lastly we will be making the chocolate yule log sponge and buttercream which we will be put together and decorate.  If the children would like to bring a special plate and decorative accessories for their log they are welcome to!  There will be lots of skills with this class and a few challenges which we are sure the children will enjoy.  Please bring containers and tupperware to take the biscuits and yule log home.

We will eat the cookies in our dining room and we provide water for the children to drink.

There will be a recipe pack to take away so they can make everything again at home and impress the family!

Important stuff:

All children are dropped off and left with us for the duration of the class.  There is a parental consent form to fill in when booking your child onto the class.  Please let us know if they have any specific food requirements, health or educational needs so we can offer the best possible experience for them. Our Saturday Chefs are a fun and safe environment with up to 16 children attending, they are noisy and busy. We expect all the children attending to behave respectfully and listen to instructions from the staff for their own safety and for the success of the class.
