Menu: Sausage, mash and gravy with syrup sponge and custard
Saturday Chefs: These classes are suitable for children in Secondary School
Pricing: £30 per child
Description:
We will be cutting the potatoes and boiling them. Then they will learn to how to mash them and make them creamy with milk and butter (no lumps here!) They will cook their sausages and make gravy from scratch to go with it. There will be a vegetarian option please request when booking. For dessert, we will be making a delicious syrup sponge which we will bake in the oven. Alongside this we will make ‘proper’ custard made the traditional way. The dessert will be taken home so please bring tupperware and containers.
We will eat the sausage and mash in our dining room and we provide water for the children to drink.
There will be a recipe pack to take away so they can make everything again at home and impress the family!
Important stuff:
All children are dropped off and left with us for the duration of the class. There is a parental consent form to fill in when booking your child onto the class. Please let us know if they have any specific food requirements, health or educational needs so we can offer the best possible experience for them. Our Saturday Chefs are a fun and safe environment with up to 16 children attending, they are noisy and busy. We expect all the children attending to behave respectfully and listen to instructions from the staff for their own safety and for the success of the class.
