HOLIDAY CLUB FOR CHILDREN WITH COMPLEX NEEDS

Recipes:  Pizza bomb and Easter chocolate nests

Age: 5 – 16yrs old

Description:

We have this class on the second week of the Easter holidays just in time to keep the kids entertained!

We will be mixing and kneading pizza dough.  This will then be laid in a muffin tin to create pizza bombs.  The children will ladle their tomato sauce into it and fill it with ingredients of their choice like peppers, pepperoni, ham and cheese.  Then the dough will be pressed together to create a bomb shape pizza!  Once it has been baked in the oven, they will eat this in the dining room.

Then they will make chocolate easter nests.  They will make a chocolate sauce and mix in the cornflakes moulding it into a nest shape.  Once it is cooled and solid they will be able to decorate it and put chocolate eggs into it, yummy!

They will take their easter nests home so please bring along tupperware.

In between making there will be colouring and activities in our dining room.

We do provide water during the class but they are welcome to bring their own drink bottle.

We ask that if your child needs support and help on a 1:1 basis, to be able to cook with us, please can an adult helper come with them.  We will have 12 children in the class and not the usual 16 that we have on our other children’s holiday clubs so we can help the children more.  Can you please let us know about your child so we can support them and make their experience with us the best it can possibly be and if you have any questions please call or email us on

Important stuff:

There is a parental consent form to fill in when booking your child onto the class.  Please let us know if they have any specific food requirements, health or educational needs so we can offer the best possible experience for them.  We expect all the children attending to behave respectfully and listen to instructions from the staff for their own safety and for the success of the class.  We do have disability access so please let us know if you will be needing wheelchair access or lower tables to work on.
