Recipes: Sausage Rolls and Easter Cupcakes
Description:
We are starting the second week of the Easter holidays with this 8+ yrs cookery session in the afternoon.
We will be using puff pastry to make the sausage rolls. The children will be using sausage meat and wrapping the pastry around it. They can lattice it and make it as decorative as they wish with Jodie’s help. This will then be baked in the oven and once cooled it will be eaten in the dining room.
Then they will make cupcakes and weigh and mix all the ingredients together. The mixture will then be put into cake cases and baked in the oven. Once these are cooled they will make icing to decorate their Easter cupcakes with sprinkles and mini chocolate eggs.
They will take their easter cupcakes home so please bring along tupperware.
In between making there will be colouring and activities in our dining room.
We do provide water during the class but they are welcome to bring their own drink bottle.
Important stuff:
All children are dropped off and left with us for the duration of the class. There is a parental consent form to fill in when booking your child onto the class. Please let us know if they have any specific food requirements, health or educational needs so we can offer the best possible experience for them. Our holiday clubs are a fun and safe environment, this class will have up to 20 children attending, so they are noisy and busy. We expect all the children attending to behave respectfully and listen to instructions from the staff for their own safety and for the success of the class.
