Recipes: Pop-tarts, colourful sausage pasta, breadsticks and chocolate chip flapjacks
Description: This is a longer session for the 11+ years is to really help develop their cooking skills and build confidence in the kitchen.
For a snack, Jodie will be showing them how to make the pop-tart. Then they will be making homemade pasta for our main recipe and will be making pasta twists. We will grill the sausages and add it to our pasta with an assortment of salad, like cucumber and tomatoes etc to add if they like. They will mix it all together with a dressing. Alongside this, they will be making breadsticks from scratch and will eat them with their pasta in the dining room.
Afterwards they will make chocolate chip flapjacks from scratch. Please bring tupperware for them to take home to share with you!
In between cooking, there will be time to relax in our dining room.
We do provide water during the class but they are welcome to bring their own drink bottle.
Important stuff:
All children are dropped off and left with us for the duration of the class. There is a parental consent form to fill in when booking your child onto the class. Please let us know if they have any specific food requirements, health or educational needs so we can offer the best possible experience for them. Our holiday clubs are a fun and safe environment, this class will have up to 16 children attending, so they are noisy and busy. We expect all the children attending to behave respectfully and listen to instructions from the staff for their own safety and for the success of the class.
