Recipes: Cheese & Bacon Puffs, Chicken Rice Pots, Jammy Dodgers and Cookie Bites
Description:
This February half term we have the 11+ yrs cookery session and we will be having cheese and bacon puffs for their morning snack. They will explore puff pastry and folding to create this delicious pastry snack. Then they will move onto making the chicken rice pots from scratch. Firstly making a marinade for the chicken and cooking the chicken in the oven. They will then cook the rice on the hob and add vegetables. They will combine the chicken, vegetables, and rice to create their own chicken rice pot. We will be eating them here in our dining room for lunch.
For the sweet treats we will making jammy dodger biscuits first. They will make their biscuit dough and roll it out. They will then cut out shapes and bake them. Once cooled they will add the jam and sandwich them together. Then they will make cookie dough and make small balls and bake them in the oven. They will take the biscuits home so please bring along plenty of tupperware.
This class is great for developing their skills in the kitchen and can be used towards the Duke of Edinburgh skills award.
