Recipes: Cheese & Bacon Muffins, Filled Pasties, Baked Beans and Jam Tarts
Description:
This October half term we have our longer 11+ yrs cookery session and we will be making lots of delicious food from scratch with a focus on pastry. For a snack we will be making cheese and bacon muffins. Then we will be making pastry for our pasties and cooking the filling which they can choose from a variety of ingredients like potato, mince, and carrots to fill their own pasties. They will put it all together to create their own pasty. Homemade baked beans are delicious and a perfect accompaniment with a pasty! We will be eating it here in our dining room.
For a sweet treat we will making sweet pastry and they will cut and shape the jam tarts and bake them. They will take the jam tarts home so please bring along tupperware.
