10+ CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY CLUB

Recipes:  Christmas Tree Meringue Stack, Peppermint Reindeers, Cheese Pastry Stars and Christmas Pizza Trees

Description:

This Christmas holiday we have our longer 10+ yrs cookery session and we will be making lots of delicious food from scratch.  For a snack we will be making cheese pastry stars.  Then we will be making dough and cooking the tomato sauce for the pizza before moving on to the Meringue Christmas tree stack.  This is a great challenge where the children will pipe or shape the meringue into lots of shapes starting from small to large which once cooked they will stack to create a xmas tree.  Please can they bring in fillings of their choice like whipped cream, buttercream, jam, fruit and decorations to make their tree fabulous.  We will have some fillings, food colouring and sprinkles however they may want to think about this before they come so they can personalise theirs.

For lunch they will make their Xmas tree pizzas which they will eat here in our dining room.

In the afternoon we will then make the peppermint cream reindeers which they can shape and decorate (its going to be a very busy and creative day!)

Please bring a plate or tupperware for the Meringue xmas tree and the reindeer.

Important stuff:

All children are dropped off and left with us for the duration of the class.  There is a parental consent form to fill in when booking your child onto the class.  Please let us know if they have any specific food requirements, health or educational needs so we can offer the best possible experience for them. Our holiday clubs are a fun and safe environment with up to 16 children attending, they are noisy and busy. We expect all the children attending to behave respectfully and listen to instructions from the staff for their own safety and for the success of the class.
