Starting my management career at Rules, London’s oldest restaurant, I chanced upon the discovery of British game cookery of the highest order. It was here that my love affair with British produce began.
I was privileged enough to end up running several high profile businesses in London including Tutton’s Brasserie in Covent Garden, Bank Restaurants on the Aldwych and in Westminster, the diverse catering offers within Regents Park and opening a three story, high end Argentinian concept at the O2 Arena in North Greenwich.
I was finally lured back to the West country to develop and run a cookery school and event business in the heart of the South Devon country side. The school, based on a farm, reared much of its own meat and grew a lot of vegetables and what we didn’t grow or rear ourselves we bought from small, neighbouring organic growers. My passion is to support and, where possible, promote local producers and I am currently looking to purchase a pub of my own where I can do exactly that.
I have seen first hand what Gretchen has done with Nether Street Farm and the Farm Cookery School and I am really excited to be part of The Taste Team and Taste Wiltshire 2019
Laura is the newest recruit to our team and we are thrilled to have her on board.
